Hi My name is Wyatt and I am 13 yrs old. When I was 7 my dad died suddenly in 2013. He loved archery and he was an artist who drew Dragons and worked on Dungeons and Dragons the role playing game. I had a wish just after he died and I wanted thousands of archers all over the world to shoot at Dragon targets and honor my dad and to raise money for those less fortunate.
In 2014 we had 116 Archers slaying Dragons and raised over $700 for a children's Grief group that helped send kids to camp who had lost someone close to them. In 2015 we are raised $1500 for a 5th grader at my school who is fighting Leukemia. Her name is Hailey. We had archers from all over the world shooting with us, over 3000 from 25 states and 25 countries . In 2016 we had the honor of slaying Dragons with about 6000 Archers from 65 countries and 35 states and we raised $3000 for the Breast Cancer Recovery Foundation in Madison. Wisconsin. In 2017 we raised almost $15,000 for 4 families in Michigan and Wisconsin. We had the help of 70 countries and 37 states. In 2018, the numbers continued to grow and we are fortunate enough to keep helping families around the world as we enter a new decade in 2020.
My wish is to have as many archers as we can all over the world, shoot at dragons and remember someone that they lost and honor them with every arrow they shoot. I can supply a dragon target for you or you can draw one yourself. I would love to see pictures or videos uploaded to this page so we can see all the archers shooting for someone they love on these specials day.
Since 2018, we've been driving cross country to attend your Dragon shoots; maybe one day we'll even make it to other countries. Please contact us if you are interested in hosting a World Dragon Shooting Day Event. With this shoot getting so large, we need to stay organized and we need to know who is hosting a Dragon Shoot event. We want to be there to support your shoot. We would love to personally thank you and share in the experience with you.
I am now 13 and I still miss my dad very much, but knowing people are out there slaying dragons with me and raising money for other less fortunate families , makes me very happy and I am grateful for everyone's friendship and efforts.
